AnSMS makes it easy to send SMS commands to your tracker, including setup and configuration, all through a single SMS.
1. Adding a New Tracker
On the Home page, tap the Add Car icon to open the Tracker page. Enter the following details:
• Tracker name (minimum two letters)
• Tracker’s mobile number (e.g., 0400 111 222)
• Your name (minimum two letters)
• Mobile number for receiving SMS alerts (e.g., 0400 333 444)
• Adjust the alert settings below as needed, then tap the Update icon.
You will return to the Home page, where your newly added tracker will appear with a red message prompting you to press to update. Tapping this will open your phone’s SMS app. After sending the SMS, you must wait for the tracker’s reply message confirming that the new settings have been applied. Only after this confirmation will the tracker begin sending SMS alerts to your phone.
If you do not receive a reply, check your settings again and ensure the tracker’s SIM card has credit. If issues persist, contact your installer.
Important Notes
• The tracker must be loaded with Antitheft Car Alarms firmware.
• Some functions—such as Immobilise and Unlock—may not be supported by your vehicle. These are optional features; consult your installer for details.
• AnSMS is designed for ease of use, so not all advanced VT4 & VT5 series tracker commands are included.
• Whenever you change any settings, you must send an update SMS and wait for the tracker’s confirmation message before the new settings take effect.
The Immobilise function prevents the engine from starting. When activated, the vehicle will not crank or run until the tracker receives a command to return it to GO mode.
This function only works after you have sent the appropriate SMS command and received the tracker’s confirmation reply. The app cannot read SMS messages, so it cannot display the tracker’s true status—you must always wait for the reply SMS to ensure the immobiliser state has been updated.
Note: Engine immobilisation is an optional feature and must be correctly wired into your vehicle. Consult your installer to confirm compatibility and to understand any safety and security considerations.
When you tap GPS Request, the tracker will send you an SMS containing the vehicle’s most recent location along with a Google Maps link. Tapping the link will open Google Maps and display your vehicle’s position.
Unlock Vehicle and
Lock Vehicle this are optional function and requires specific wiring. Speak with your installer to confirm whether your vehicle supports this feature and to understand any associated security risks.
Battery Information The tracker will reply with both the external vehicle battery voltage and the internal backup battery voltage when requested.
Version Information
Reboot Tracker
Activate SMS & AnTRAK (Wialon) When this function is activated, the tracker will begin uploading data to the server. This will occur additional charges on your SIM card
Activate SMS only The tracker is factory‑configured for SMS use only and does not upload any data to a server by default.
If your vehicle’s alarm is activated, the tracker will immediately send you an SMS alert. For maximum effectiveness, assign a loud, extended, and distinctive ringtone to the tracker’s contact on your phone, and set it to ring even when your device is on silent. This helps ensure you never miss an important notification.
Note: This is an optional feature and must be correctly wired into your alarm system.
When the vehicle is parked with the ignition OFF, the tracker monitors its position. If the vehicle moves outside the preset zone radius, you will receive an SMS alert.
Note: GPS accuracy depends on satellite signal strength. If the vehicle is parked under cover or only a few satellites are in range, the reported position may shift by hundreds of meters or more. This is normal behaviour and not a fault of the tracker.
If the tracker’s power supply is disconnected or interrupted, you’ll automatically receive an SMS alert informing you of the power loss.
If the tracker detects strong impact forces—whether the vehicle is driving or parked—it will send you an SMS alert. This helps notify you of events such as collisions, heavy bumps, or significant disturbances to the vehicle.
Car Battery If the vehicle’s battery voltage drops below the level you have set, the tracker will send you an SMS alert.
You can adjust the voltage threshold in SETTINGS, entered in millivolts (mV). For example, 12000 mV equals 12 volts.
To check the current battery voltage at any time,
send the SMS command:
0 0 battery
If the tracker’s internal backup battery drops below 30%, you will receive an SMS alert. The backup battery recharges automatically whenever the tracker is connected to its main power source.
If the vehicle exceeds the maximum speed you have set in SETTINGS, you will receive an SMS alert. The speed limit is entered in kilometres per hour (km/h). Once the vehicle passes this threshold, the tracker automatically sends the notification.
The trigger sensor alert can be used as a 24/7 monitoring feature. It can activate when an external accessory—such as an attached device, mounted sensor, or even a trailer—detects movement or disturbance. When triggered, the tracker will send you an SMS alert.
Note: This function requires proper wiring and setup. Please consult your installer to confirm compatibility and ensure safe installation.
The towing alert becomes active 15 minutes after the ignition is turned OFF. Once active, the tracker monitors both movement and tilt. If the vehicle is tilted more than 5 degrees or moved unexpectedly, the system will trigger an alert.
If this happens, you have 60 seconds to cancel the alert by switching the ignition ON.
This alert will not activate during normal use—for example, when you enter the vehicle and turn the ignition ON within one minute. However, it will activate if the boot is closed after the towing alert has already become active.
Includes all available functions and provides 13 months of tracking history.
